Script request payments are now live on Centrik’s consumer health apps – allowing patients to easily request and pay for their repeat script in one seamless process.
The payment gateway is incorporated into the script request process for patients using one of Centrik’s patient portal apps – Well, The Doctors app, or Better Health Outcomes.
For patients the integrated process is easy to use, providing the modern experience expected by consumers. For convenience, patients can securely save their credit card details for use with future requests.
General practice teams can configure payments for their practice, including defining the price for a standard medication request, as well as pricing for Community Service Card (CSC) and High Use Health Card (HUHC) holders.
Implementing script payments seamlessly into the medication request flow ensures that practices are capturing payment at the point of script request, avoiding debt accruing.
The pre-payment model also reduces administrative time spent chasing payment after the script request is made, following up on missed payments, and managing bank deposits and in-person payments.
Repeat script requests received in the PMS include the amount paid by the patient, allowing for this to be recorded as a payment against the patient’s record.
From the Centrik Web Console, general practice teams can view, search and filter script requests by patient, request date, or invoice status. Users with clinical access can also view a record of the medications requested and whether these are approved or declined.
Developed by working closely with providers and patients to design features that meet their needs, Centrik is currently powering the Well app and the white label The Doctors and Better Health Outcomes apps. The Doctors app is rolling out across Green Cross Health’s national network of medical centres as part of an innovation partnership between Webtools and Green Cross.
