Centrik’s online patient portal is now live, making modern digital healthcare services more widely accessible via the web. The portal is available to patients whose general practice currently use one of Centrik’s patient apps – Well, Better Health Outcomes, or The Doctors app.
The patient portal provides even more people with frictionless digital tools to manage their health care, overcoming accessibility barriers such as mobile device access, or preference for the usability of a laptop and web browser.
Complete feature parity with the patient app means patients can use the online patient portal to easily engage with their primary care provider, view their International Patient Summary (IPS) health record, and access healthcare services.
Patients can register and connect with their general practice from either the app or the patient portal. Once registered they will be able to use the same account to login to both applications.
Along with access to their health record, patients can book and manage appointments, request repeat prescriptions, view lab results and consult notes, and message their care team. For practices offering a video consult service, patients can book and attend consults online.
As with the mobile app, Centrik’s online patient portal is built using FHIR with event-driven integration with the practice management system (PMS), meaning that only the data that is required and consented for is accessed from the PMS in real time. Repeat prescription requests and appointments booked from the patient portal appear in the PMS.
The Webtools team work closely with providers and patients to design and develop Centrik, with new product releases every two weeks. New features are deployed to both the patient app and portal, ensuring there is no disruption to the service offering to patients.
